Intro to App Backend: Sending Push Notifications (Town of Grand Bank)

In this tutorial, we’ll walk through the backend of the Town of Grand Bank app and show you how to send push notifications to users. Follow along to understand analytics, message composition, and publishing.

  1. Backend Overview:
    After logging in, you will see the main layout and features of your app. If you need any website link changes, contact your app developer to update them.

  2. Viewing Analytics:
    Navigate to the Statistics tab to view detailed analytics such as traffic, pageviews, sessions, device types, social geographics, and more.

  3. Accessing Push Notifications:
    To send a new notification, go to the Content tab and select Add.

  4. Composing Your Message:
    Start by entering a title, then write your message. You can also highlight text to link to app features or external URLs.

  5. Using the AI Assistant (Optional):
    The AI Assistant can help compose or refine your message for you.

  6. Adding Extra Elements:
    Enhance your message by adding text, photos, videos, quotes, embeds, or attaching PDFs using the Browse option.

  7. Publishing or Scheduling:
    Once finished, click Publish to send automatically, or schedule your notification for a later date by selecting a day and time.
