Walmart is giving Amazon Prime Day a bigger run for its money this year with a "Walmart Deals" savings event from July 8 to 13. The sale is two days longer than Prime Day 2025, which is live from July 8 to 11 (making it the longest Prime Day ever). It's also twice as long as last year's Walmart Deals event, which ran for three days the week before Prime Day 2024. Shoppers can peruse Walmart Deals online at Walmart.com/deals and in stores, which is a first.

Unlike Prime Day, Walmart Deals isn't paywalled. However, paid Walmart+ members got early online access to its offers before everyone else on Monday, July 7 at 7 p.m. ET — a five-hour head start. Shoppers who haven't signed up for Walmart+ yet can save 50% on their first year of an annual membership through July 15, paying $49 instead of $98. On top of early access to certain sales throughout the year, the program unlocks perks like free shipping, fuel discounts, and a bonus Paramount+ Essential subscription. The latter is worth $59.99 per year on its own.

Walmart's summer sale is chock-full of discounts on no-name tech brands you'll definitely want to avoid. (I don't know what "RNRUO" or "VEATOOL" are, and I'm too afraid to ask.) However, I managed to find some diamonds in the rough after spending a few hours combing through its listings. I've rounded them up below.

Of note, Walmart's deals on Apple wearables and accessories are so good that I've broken them out into their own dedicated section. All AirPods models are on sale at record-low prices there, including the USB-C AirPods Max, which are now only $399, or $150 off. (Amazon was bouncing them between $399 and $429 in the first 48 hours of Prime Day.) Walmart also has the USB-C Apple Pencil listed for $59, or $20 off, which initially beat Amazon and Best Buy's counter-offer by $10 — the two retailers have since matched Walmart's pricing.

Other highlights include a $200 discount on our favorite Dyson vacuum and a 50-inch Vizio QLED TV that's only $218. Mashable's TV expert, Leah Stodart, tells me that's the cheapest QLED model she's encountered anywhere so far this Prime Day. You also might be able to catch one of Walmart's restocks of the $499 Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle during its sale, but no promises.

Why we like it

Read Mashable's full review of the AirPods Max (Lightning).

Apple's over-ear headphones sound excellent and look cool, but they're lacking some features that other premium headphones offer for much less. As such, we don't recommend buying them unless they're on sale. (Their $549 MSRP is excessive, to say the least.) Right now, I strongly recommend interested buyers snag the newest USB-C version at Walmart. They're marked down to $399 there, which is their lowest price ever.

Amazon is intermittently matching the price point on select colorways, while Walmart's $399 deal is holding firm. While the big-box retailer isn't raising the price point, as of the afternoon on June 10, the purple, orange, and midnight colorways are out of stock.

Best TV deals

Why we like it

Walmart typically offers the cheapest TV deals in most size categories during major shopping holidays, Mashable's Stodart tells me. This Prime Day, it has the cheapest 50-inch QLED TV: a $218 Vizio model. (Amazon's cheapest 50-inch QLED is a $246.99 Hisense model, for reference.) No need to settle for noticeably dull colors if your living room or bedroom can't fit a massive display.

If your PC gaming setup could benefit from a little more screen real estate, Walmart's deal on this 28-inch, 144Hz 4K Samsung Odyssey monitor is pretty stellar: At $299 (normally $699.99), it's almost 60% off. That's $100 better than the same monitor's sale price on Samsung's website, and $86 better than its Prime Day price on Amazon. Out of all the offers featured in Walmart's summer sale, I think I'm most surprised that this one hasn't sold out yet.

Stodart also happens to be our resident vacuum guru. Her favorite Dyson vacuum for most people just became a better choice for even more people — because it's now on sale for $450. (It got even cheaper during Walmart's 2024 Black Friday sale, but its current price is only $50 away from that all-time low.) The V12 Detect Slim the most affordable Dyson vacuum equipped with its green laser, which pinpoints dust and hair on the floor that you may not see otherwise. This model also comes with a motorized mini hair screw tool for tackling pet hair on furniture.

Why we like it

Lego released this 2,336-piece Land Rover Defender build as part of its "Icons" series in spring 2023 to mark the off-roader's 75th anniversary. Its website has it flagged as "hard to find," and indeed, it's sold out on Amazon. Conversely, Walmart has it stock at the discounted price of $179, which works out to a $60-ish savings. Data on the Amazon price-tracking site CamelCamelCamel shows that it's never gone on sale there before, so this is likely its lowest price yet.
